2024 Membership Info

The Details
- Where: The entire team meets at Aardvark (Unless otherwise noted in the weekly email.)
- When: Every Saturday starting @ 7:30am from July 6th through October 20th. We encourage everyone to show up by 7:20am to depart for the run @ 7:30am.

While our main focus is training for the Bethlehem Run Festival races, everyone is welcome to join the team regardless of your goals. Join us on Saturday runs for fun and camaraderie!

Your membership includes three training plans. Once you join the team, you will receive a welcome email where you can select the right plan for you. Training should be stress free!! We hope that you ultimately find the right program for you, but you can switch training programs to fit your needs with no additional cost.

- 5k training: For the beginner to experienced runner. No running experience needed!
- 10k training: For the beginner to experienced runner. We recommend being able to complete a 5k within 6 months before Team Vark training starts in June.

- Half Marathon training: For the intermediate beginner to experienced runner. We are all about support, and want you to have the best experience possible! Due to logistics, staffing, and safety, we recommend that you're able to comfortably complete a 10k, without walking, within 6 months before Team Vark training starts in June. We have staff and volunteer runners out on the course with you. This is our largest group, and people can get spread out. We prefer that people don't run alone, even if they enjoy it. We encourage everyone to register with a friend or find a running buddy for extra safety and support. It may take a few weeks to find your rhythm, and fall into a natural pace group. If you want a buddy, but can't find one, we suggest switching to the 5k/10k plans. We can help adjust your training plan so you're still prepared for the Half while you can enjoy the benefits of a smaller group. Just let us know!

Registration

We cap the membership at 200 people. Registration fills up fast. Please do not register if you know you cannot make the Team Vark runs at 7:30am on Saturdays. We will announce when we are full, and will have a wait list ready for anyone who's interested.

Team Vark Age Restriction. We are growing as a team and understand the need for family time. For this year, we have the following age restrictions.

- Strollers are welcome. Please know the route and your abilities before running with a stroller.
- Due to safety considerations, we kindly ask that participants be aged 12 and above to participate in our training program.
-12-18 years old must have anadult present duringtraining.
- Please note that certain Team Vark events are restricted to individuals aged 21 years or older.
